SENATORS REJECT MINISTERIAL NOMINEE
The senate has rejected the nomination of Obadiah Ando, a ministerial nominee form Taraba State and former minister of Water Resources. This is not unconnected with the fact that two of the senators representing Taraba State are opposed to his nomination. According to Senate rules, a ministerial nominee must be supported by 2 of the 3 senators from his state to scale through the screening process. This is because according to them, their constituents do not want him.
So far , 37 ministerial nominees have been cleared by the senate.
